Last Week, Woodlawn School District celebrated Red Ribbon Week. Our elementary school would like to thank our local state troopers for taking time out of their day to teach our students the importance of Red Ribbon Week and for providing our kids with a few safety tips for Halloween. Also, congratulations to the student and staff winners of our elementary ribbon raffle!

"We would like to thank all of the organizations and volunteers within our community that have previously donated these last two months! So far our ministry has been able to serve 23 students with a food bag that contains 2 breakfast items, 2 lunch items, 2 snack items, 2 dinner items, and 2 drink items every weekend of September. Multiple people have reached out to see if we had any sort of list of things we would need. Our ministry now has a registry through Walmart. When searching through Walmart registries, select "Any Occasion Registry" and search "Woodalwn Community Backpack Ministry" or use this link: https://www.walmart.com/registry/ER/48828f18-79df-4dd1-bcb2-77edb8b0263e
This registry is not limited! We will accept any item with any brand, any flavor, and in any quantity as long as it is non-perishable. This list is only to help those that need some ideas when shopping. As of now, the primary need from this ministry are food items to help supplement dinner. When delivering or ordering to be delivered to the school, please use the name "Amy Harbison" so that the donations will go to the right place. Thanks!"
