🕒 Early Dismissal Today

School will be dismissed early today, March 19th, at 1:30 p.m. to allow our staff to prepare for conferences.

🍎 Parent-Teacher Conferences

Conferences will be held this evening from 2:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. This is a great opportunity to connect with teachers and discuss your student’s progress. We look forward to seeing you!

🎒 Kindergarten Registration

Calling all future Woodlawn Bears! Woodlawn Elementary will be hosting Kindergarten Registration during the conference window (2:30 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.). If you have a child starting school this fall, stop by to get them signed up!

You will need the following items to complete Kindergarten registration:

Birth Certificate
Social Security Card
Shot Records
Copy of Physical
Proof of Residency

🗓️ No School Tomorrow

There will be no school for students tomorrow, Friday, March 20th. Our teachers will be participating in a Professional Development day. Enjoy the long weekend!

Prom tickets on sale now!

Attn Parents: Buses have resumed running and we are planning on an 8:15 start time. Please be safe on the roads.

Attn Parents: We are currently under a tornado warning. The bus drivers have been instructed to return to the school and to get the students already picked up inside. The warning is supposed to lift at 7:30. Everyone take shelter. We will send busses back out when the warning is lifted. School will operate on a delayed start until the warning is lifted. Stay safe.

Our elementary staff is ready to get inked (temporarily) for a great cause!
From March 2nd - April 8th, students may purchase tattoos for their teachers or any elementary staff. Prices of each tattoo range from $1 - $10. Teachers will reveal their new ink on April 10th. Help us out and give our teachers some new flair!

ATTN WSD Parents:

Due to unforeseen circumstances, we were forced to combine a few of our bus routes this afternoon. Please expect some delays while we work to get all students home safely.

Today is the last day we are accepting applicants for: District Treasurer, District Administrative Assistant, Child Nutrition Director, Technology Coordinator, and High School Secretary. We are still accepting applications for our Music Teacher and High School Counselor openings.

Athletics Update: Both the baseball and softball games originally scheduled for today have been canceled. We are working on making up both games for a later date. The Bear basketball team will be playing this afternoon in the first round of the State Tournament against East Poinsett County. Game is set to start at 5:30. Tickets must be purchased at GoFan. Congratulations to the Woodlawn Cubing Team! They placed first this morning in the SEARK Education Cooperative Rubik's Cubing Competition in Monticello, solving 25 cubes in 4 minutes and 34 seconds! Additionally, Brantley Reed placed first in the elementary individual competition with a winning time of 1 minute and 13 seconds!
