The annual Southeast Regional Art Educators Exhibition and Competition was held recently at the UAM campus. Over 100 entries competed, with Woodlawn placing in 8 of 13 entries. 3 of those were the first-place winners: Maisyn Berg (K), Effie Scharf (4th), and Kenzee Hunter (9th). Their art will be on display from June 13 to August 22 at the Hillary Rodham Clinton Library in Little Rock. There will be a reception for the 1st-place winners from across the state on June 13 at 1:00 pm.

AP testing for our students is right around the corner. We are asking for your help!! We would like to provide these students with lunch and snacks on their exam day. These exams are 3-4 hours long. If anyone would like to sponsor a day, send individually packaged snacks or drinks, or make a donation, please comment (Facebook post) or contact the high school office at 870-357-8171. The dates and number of students are as follows:
May 4 - 14 students
May 6 - 14 students
May 8 - 29 students
May 13 - 29 students

Third Grader, Isaac Young, placed second in the 3rd & 4th grade Southeast Arkansas Education Cooperative Chess Tournament in Monticello. Isaac won six of his seven tournament games and placed 2nd among a total of 41 players. He received a second place medal and a gift card to Sonic provided by Hope & Company Realty.
