Woodlawn High School will begin the 2024 Homecoming Activities on Thursday September 26th with the annual afternoon Homecoming Ceremony beginning at 2:30, school will be dismissed immediately after. On Thursday evening, the Homecoming Ceremonies will begin at 7:00. Gates will open at 6:30 for spectators to be admitted. The ceremonies will end with the crowning of the 2024 Football Sweetheart and the 2024 Homecoming Queen.
This year’s theme is “Sunset’s Fade Memories Last Forever”.

This year’s Mistress of Ceremonies will be Cain Wilkins and the Masters of Ceremonies is Braxton Harvey. The Mascots will be Abigail Wright and Austin Quail, both first graders at Woodlawn.
On Friday September 27, High School Students will be dismissed at 12:45 to get a sack lunch to carry over to the football field. At 1:30 the elementary classes will be dismissed to the football field where a pep rally will begin as soon as students are in the stands and done with lunch. Immediately following, class competitions will begin. This year’s events include traditional games such as an Obstacle Course, Egg Toss, Tug of War and also a a new relay, Table Surfing. School will be dismissed at regular time. Football games will begin that night at 5:00.
The Homecoming Queen, Sweetheart, maids and their parents will be introduced between the games.
There will be NO Homecoming Dance on Friday night. There will however be a Dance on Saturday September 28th for 7th-12th grades in the cafeteria from 7PM-9PM, tickets will be sold at the door and are $5 per person. The attire this year for the dance can be formal or casual school dance appropriate. Students not attending Woodlawn must fill out the school date form in the office by September 19th. The junior class will be sponsoring the dance.
