Woodlawn Schools will start today at 10:00 am. Buses will begin running before hand and will stick to paved roads this morning.
If you deem it unsafe to get your child out to the bus or to school, they will be excused for today. The roads will be evaluated again this afternoon to determine afternoon routes.

Good Morning! We are out driving the roads right now evaluating the condition of the main roads. There is still a possibility of school closure. An official decision will be made at 8:00 am.
Your child's safety is our priority. If you are unable to get your child to the bus or if do not feel comfortable getting them to school, they will be excused.

Please be ready to go 2 hours later than when you are normally picked up. We encourage our student drivers to drive slow and do not take any chances.

Tomorrow night's scheduled basketball games with Rison will be postponed until Friday, January 19th. The Junior Girls game will start at 4:30, followed by the Junior Boys, Senior Girls, and Senior Boys games. The games will be at the Carl Jones Sports Complex.
The games with Camden Harmony Grove have been canceled.

Participants in high school sports and performing arts are under tremendous pressure these days – from parents, teachers, coaches and peers. Their days are consumed with school, sports and activities. They are trying to figure out who they are and who they want to be – all while having to compare themselves to everyone else on social media. It’s easy to see why high school students have a lot on their plates … and their minds.
It is time for all of us to turn our attention to these students, including the activity participants at schools in Arkansas. Empathy is so important. No matter who you are—a parent, teacher, coach, athletic administrator, performing arts director or anyone else who interacts with teens—we can all play a part in looking out for them.
That’s why the AAA and the NFHS are launching the #WeSeeYou Campaign. Together, we want to create a culture of caring in our school communities – one where everyone feels seen and supported, especially our students.
