Woodlawn High School continues to excel in the world of education as three students secure prestigious positions within the EAST (Education Accelerated by Service and Technology) Conference Leadership Team. This week, Brynne, Cain, and Alivia had the honor of participating in the EAST Conference Retreat in Little Rock, AR. The retreat is a crucial preparatory event ahead of the upcoming EAST Conference scheduled for March.
Each year, students from various schools across the region are handpicked to join the EAST Conference Leadership Team. These students play an integral role in assisting EAST staff in managing and documenting the conference. They are entrusted with vital responsibilities, working together to form three essential teams: the Ambassador Team, the Documentation Team, and the Technical Support Team. Our students will hold the following positions:
- Cain: Ambassador Team Speaker
- Brynne: Documentation Team Photographer
- Alivia: Documentation Team Social Media Reporter
Participation in the EAST Conference Leadership Team and attendance at the retreat offer Woodlawn High School students a unique opportunity to gain practical professional experience while contributing to the success of a renowned educational event. It provides them with a platform to hone their leadership, communication, and technical skills in a real-world setting, preparing them for future endeavors in both academic and professional spheres.
As Woodlawn High School continues to nurture and empower its students to excel both academically and personally, their representation within the EAST Conference Leadership Team stands as a testament to their dedication, talent, and commitment to making a positive impact in the world.
